What does a Shopper Marketeer at Alken-Maes do?
As a Shopper Marketeer Off Trade, you are part of our Off Trade Development team, which helps reinforce the position of Alken-Maes as a partner to our customers. The team ensures the positive evolution of availability, visibility and sales of our brands at the points of sale. In this job, you work closely together with the Marketing department, field colleagues and with the Key Account Managers. You report to the Category and Shopper marketing Manager.
You’re in your element when doing this
You have full ownership of the deployment and performance of your respective brand portfolio for the Off Trade channel. Your key responsibilities are:
General focus:

Responsible for closely monitoring our business performance across brands and customers with the intent to course correct where needed for optimal results.

Ownership on optimizing resource allocation to best fit the needs of your brand portfolio on customer and channel level.

Ownership on how best to influence the path to purchase of shoppers to drive instore conversion on your brand portfolio.

Responsible for determining the channel strategy for your brands, focus on where to play and how to win.
Sales Focus:

Translation of shopper insights into a compelling trade story from category point of view for your brands towards customers as well as building channel and customer activation plans linked to the insights gathered.

Responsible for setting up tailor made activations for your brands at key customers

Connection point for your brand portfolio for any questions from Sales point of view

Frame recommendations regarding promo strategy (assortment, mechanics, …)
Field Focus:

Responsible for driving excellence in execution for your brands (KPI’s, Picos, …)

Development of brand activations for deployment on the shopfloor by Field teams

Connection point for your brand portfolio for any questions from Field point of view
Marketing Focus:

Translation of brand visual identity onto efficient and impactful POS materials for our field force.

Translation of national campaigns into BTL plans to ensure through the line execution of our brand plans.

Part of a business team around a strategic brand to create and execute the off trade plan
One look in the mirror tells you

You have at a Master degree or equivalent through experience.

You have at least 3-5 years professional experience from which 2 years in a Trade Marketing or Category Management role.

You work in an organized manner and you are an excellent planner.

You work very precisely, and you have an eye for detail.

You are very pragmatic and hands-on.

You are a team player and solid in stakeholder management

You have good communication skills and you find it easy to maintain contacts with different stakeholders.

You have a critical mind and are creative in looking for improvements.

You are eager to learn, with the ambition to grow within the job and within the organization.

You are fluent in Dutch, English and French.
